One of the many campaigns in Frome has been to improve the town railway station and provide better services.

Anonymous no longer! A new road sign means visitors to Feltham, just outside Frome, now know where they're going.

Speedhumps are now slowing drivers tempted to take a shortcut through Park Road.
At the same time, Mr Heath has pursued the issue of continuing HGV traffic through the town, and argued for better policing.

David Heath has been working with Wincanton racecourse on traffic problems.
He was also able to help villagers in Holton when trees were felled on the A303.

New pavements have made life safer for residents walking under the railway bridge.

The village schoolchildren visited the House of Commons last year and Mr Heath was happy to make a return visit to see their new computers.
In Castle Cary, he supported residents fighting to save the horsepond.

HGVs, the closure of the bridge over the Cam and flooding have all been problems over the last year.

A problem over access to the old school has led to a change in the law on rights over commons.
Ilchester
David Heath has been campaigning for safer children's crossing places near the school, and measures to prevent flooding at Ilchester Mead and Podimore.
He continues to campaign for safety measures to reduce accidents on the A303 between Sparkford and Ilchester.
Barrington
A regular stop on Mr Heath's village tour, he has been helping villagers fight heavy lorries through the village.
The Levels
Keeping the balance between the unique environment and the local community isn't always easy.
Last year, Mr Heath secured important new legal protection for wildlife.

The consecration of the Millennium tapestry was a happy occasion.
Less happy events earlier in the year saw Mr Heath intervening to help villages facing increased crime in the area.
When Mr Heath won £2,500 for the local community from the Post Office, part of the cash went to help youth work in the area.
